M.Sc. Mohammadreza Pourkiani
I was born in 1991 in Mashhad, Iran. I earned my bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology in 2013 and did my master’s in the field of Computer Networks at the Science and Research Branch of IAU in Tehran, Iran. During my master’s I did a project and designed a novel protocol stack aiming to improve the Quality of Service in vehicular communications and I also published 3 papers in international journals on basis of my thesis work. Being interested in practical experiments, I also earned CCNA, MCITP 2008 and CompTIA A+ certificates during my bachelor’s and master’s studies. Currently, I am IEEE student member, state scholarship holder and PhD candidate and at the University of Rostock in department of Computer Science. My supervisor is Prof. Dr. Clemens Cap and my PhD thesis is about improving the Quality of Service in wireless body sensor network (WBSN) based healthcare applications by using Fog Computing.
